Notes about the site: Character Sheets

Character sheet

  • There should be a configurable number of stress tracks, possibly similar to the way skills are set up.  Fate Core has a 2 stress tracks, but Fate Accelerated has only 1; other builds might have more.

  • Consequences, I think should separate form items instead of a single field.

  • Fields in the "Other information" section (Phase 1, Phase 2, Phase 3, Equipment and belongings) do not have the rich text editor enabled.

Other suggestions

  • Maybe have a Group configured standard set of skills that can be available when selecting skills on the character sheet so they don't have to be typed in.  In the Group area where that is configured, maybe the Fate Core skill list and the Fate Accelerated approach lists could be available as a starting point.  Maybe a checkbox there as well as to whether all of the skills should automatically be listed in the character sheet (FAE) or not (FC).

  • Fate Accelerated has 6 approaches, this works well with a simple list of skills in the character sheet as is done here.  Fate Core, with a skill cap of 4, has 10, and all of the standard character sheets have them organized into a pyramid/table.  Atomic Robo uses Skill Modes, where the skills would be grouped into 4 columns.

  • Since you went to all the trouble to gather the skill ratings you may has well use them by making them available in the dice roller.

  • Since the aspects are all getting listed as well... maybe a GM tool that will pull all the aspects from all the player character sheets and display them in a list.  I think this would be a handy reference aid for the GM to refer to for compels, etc.

Great feedback

Thanks so much for this feedback, John.

You posted a lot of great ideas!

Few quick notes:

The stress track fields are really not very good. I am certainly looking for a better solutions.

As far as the rich text editors, it's easy to overwhelm some browsers with too many of those editors running on the same page, so I was trying to not have more than a few.

A summary view of all characters for the GM is certainly on my to-do list.

Thanks for taking the time to do that.

Stress tracks

Stress tracks are now fully configurable per character.
